Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo) earned a 5-star rating for its overall approach to responsible investment in the 2021 Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) survey. As a PRI signatory, AIMCo is assessed annually on its environmental, social and governance (ESG) integration and performance relative to peers.
The pilot 2021 PRI reporting assessment was scored on a new numerical grading system ranging from 1 to 5 stars, with the highest score of 5 stars awarded to signatories who demonstrate leading practices within the responsible investment industry.
AIMCo earned 4- or 5-star ratings in 14 out of 16 categories with top scores for Fixed Income and Real Estate.
The PRI reporting process requires the collaboration of dozens of team members who compile detailed inputs, explanations and evidence to create AIMCo’s PRI Transparency Report.
